Rejection of Cigna Newborn Claims

 

  

Cigna plans typically allow subscribers 31 days to add newborns to their group coverage.  Some newborn claims submitted to Cigna prior to verification of the newborn's eligibility may result in a claim incorrectly rejecting with the following status:

 

   Newborn Hold

   Member Not Found Or Mismatched ID

 

If your newborn claim is rejected, please resubmit the claim 30 days after the date of birth with the newborn's given name.
