Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide first level support by evaluating, prioritizing and resolving client problems with minimal supervision and assistance.
  • Log and track calls using ECP Call Center and maintains history records and related problem documentation. Escalate to senior support or Supervisor when necessary.
  • Execute production utilities.
  • Process and verify production transmissions and payer reports.
  • Coordinate daily processing of patient statements and insurance forms.
  • What candidates will need to know or learn:
    • Knowledge of ANSI format
    • ability to utilize resources to interpret payer formats
    • thorough understanding of UNIX line commands and utilities
    • thorough knowledge of production flow
    • confidence in claims processing terminology
    • effective communication with clients, vendors, and ECP employees
    • ability to view ECP proprietary source code (in C and Perl) to assist in the resolution of client issues
    • the usage of resources (Internet, documentation, supervisory personnel) to enhance client satisfaction
