Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Production

  • Schedules production duties for most effective use of resources.
  • Checks production regularly for accuracy and adherence to schedule and standards.
  • Assures accurate logs and related problem documentation are kept for tracking data while incoming, during processing and when outgoing.

Customer / Client Service

  • Develops standards to evaluate effectiveness of Customer Service.
  • Periodically measure each employee’s performance to the established standards and communicate findings to employee and to the Director of Billing Operations.
  • Assures accurate logs are kept for tracking calls, maintaining history records and related problem documentation.

Client Service

  • Performs regular client follow-up to assure client satisfaction and open communications.
  • Informs client of all current appropriate News item from The Consult. Items include: upgrades, scheduled system downtime for maintenance, changes to electronic claims processing, etc.
  • Keeps client informed on progress of billing, including current AR and problems that have arisen.
  • Solves problems with issues related to billing, including credentialing and other Payer related issues.
  • Ensures client receives all information client needs or requests, such as daily, monthly, yearly and on- demand reports; requests for refunds, etc.
  • Assists Billing Agents with answering telephone calls and resolutions as needed.
  • Performs regular client follow-up to assure client satisfaction and open communications.

Quality Assurance

  • Inspects integrity of Policy Tables.
  • Evaluates personnel for accuracy by spot checking periodically. 

Personnel Training and Coordination

  • Performs and Coordinates training of new personnel and cross training of current personnel.
  • Determines staff hours, number of personnel and equipment required to provide service.
  • Communicates regularly with Director of Billing Operations concerning each employee’s progress and deficiencies.
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices within Department and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
